Cavity Wall Insulation is where a hole is drilled in the wall and filled with insulation beads. These beads expand to fill the space they’re in which prevents heat loss from your walls.

Step 1) A hole is drilled in the wall to check if there is existing cavity inside the wall already.
If the wall is empty, it can be filled with new and efficient Cavity Wall Insulation. If there is already old insulation there but it’s inefficient or needs replacing, a process called Cavity Wall Extraction will need to take place first. This is where the old insulation is removed from the wall so that it can be filled with new insulation.

Step 2) If there is no existing insulation in the wall, the insulation bead gets pumped into the walls.
The insulation beads are then pumped into the holes in the wall using the insulation gun.

Step 3) This insulation bead then fills the air spaces in the wall
The bead that we use to insulate the walls expands and fills the air spaces between the walls. This is how heat loss is reduced as the heat is prevented from escaping the walls.

Step 4) The holes and insulation is covered with mortar to match the brickwork.
Any holes that have been created due to the insulation will be covered and filled with mortar to match the existing brickwork.
